About Dr. Prachi Agashe
Dr. Prachi Agashe completed her MBBS from BYL Nair Hospital, followed by a DNB in Ophthalmology from HV Desai Eye Hospital, Pune. She pursued specialized training through a Fellowship in Paediatric Ophthalmology at Aravind Eye Hospital, Madurai, and a Fellowship in Retinopathy of Prematurity at LV Prasad Eye Institute, Hyderabad. She has treated one of the highest volumes of Retinopathy of Prematurity cases in Mumbai and specializes in complex neuro-ophthalmological conditions, including nystagmus and cortical visual impairment. Her approach to patient care combines clinical precision with patience and compassion, creating a calm, child-friendly environment that puts young patients at ease while partnering closely with parents throughout the process. Because visual development is time-sensitive, she prioritizes early detection of conditions like amblyopia, strabismus, and refractive errors, adapting her examination techniques to each child's age and comfort level, while treatment plans are individualized and clearly explained — ensuring every child feels safe and every family feels supported.
